To the concerned citizens of the great state of New Jersey, I am writing on behalf of One Compost Can, a sustainable and climate concerned company.
For over 40 years I have been involved in the food business and have LOVED every minute of it. There is a great deal of nervous energy involved in this type of business, to say the least. One item in particular is what to do with food scraps and other assorted compostable items. Yes for a long time our organization has reluctantly place those items in regular trash and then they are dumped in a landfill. Not the most beneficial situation for our world and in particular for our climate.
One Compost Can comes along and with, boots on the ground, finds a solution to our most concerning problem, our FUTURE. They provide our operation, as well as other businesses and homes, a safe, affordable, and reliable way to compost our food scraps in addition non food, but compostable items. Dolph and his team are making a statement that resonates with the world and our climate problem.
Our soil can maintain carbon, not released into the atmosphere, and help reduce carbon emissions, if done the right way, i.e. not over tilling and certainly no fertilizers and chemical additives. One compost Can does exactly that, they are all natural company, helping the world. I endorse this company and process, 100%.

I have utilized One Compost Can's services ever since they stepped in to help fill the gap after Lambertville ended its compost pickup services. It's an easy and convenient way for me to dispose of foodstuffs and compostable paper goods. I love the environmental benefits of composting, and Dolph's organization lets me do my small part to reduce landfill waste even though I don't have the space for a compost pile on my property. I started using One Compost Can in 2021 after moving to Washington Crossing. I had previously lived in Lambertville and participated in the city’s composting program & wanted to find a company that would pickup at my new home. I compost twice a month and it meets the needs of a 2 person household that eats a lot of compostable food. I would highly recommend One Compost Can. I’ve been a member of the One Compost Can family for several years and I’m pleased to speak to the quality of service provided by Dolph Geurds and his crew. The cans are always picked up promptly with sufficient notice given for any alteration of time. Once our cansare picked up we are always provided with wonderfully clean fresh cans so we can do it all over again. In the spring when I ask, Dolphprovides me with some fresh compost for use in my garden. It’s a perfect system at a reasonable price and a great service providedby some nice people. One Compost Can's pickup service has been a godsend for me, as a person who wants to minimize my carbon footprint and enrich the soil in my garden beds without hassle or mess. My biweekly service plan is perfect for a household of two; the bucket is big enough to collect all of our kitchen, paper and other biodegradable household waste, yet small enough to nicely fit into an out-of-the-way corner of the kitchen.Dolph is very responsive to text questions about billing, pickup schedule changes, and spring compost deliveries. And speaking of compost deliveries, the buckets of compost included in my subscription really come in handy when it's time to plant my summer vegetable garden! Every other week 40 pounds of organic material goes back to the earth. Along with recycling this reduces our weekly waste pickup to two light garbage bags.
Organic waste goes into our green OneCompostCan; there is no smell. We are happy to do what we can for the environment by putting less garbage into dumps and landfills. Every little bit helps.

At first, it felt a little strange to pay for compost pickup, since we used to just toss it in the regular garbage pick up. But after using the service for a few years, I’d say it’s worth the cost. They’re very reliable and easy to work with. We don’t have to worry about smells, pests, or funky garbage in our kitchen. Plus it feels good knowing our food waste isn’t going to a landfill. It’s a small shift that’s made a meaningful difference, and we’d definitely recommend it.

I’m a Robbinsville resident who highly recommends OneCompostCan. I’ve been a customer for 3 years now and so happy that my friend told me about OneCompostCan. I have a family of 5 and we mostly cook and eat at home. We were throwing out so much food scraps and waste in the regular trash which always made me feel so bad. Since separating our food scraps and waste from regular trash, our trash has been lighter and way less stinky, an immediate improvement in our quality of life. Pickup of cans is easy and having compost delivered to us is a huge bonus! I don’t have the time to deal with composting myself so this makes it super easy!
